Vessel Registration

REQUEREMENTS FOR OBTAINING A PROVISIONAL REGISTRY FROM THE PANAMANIAN FLAG

  1. Power and request from the lawyer (CARRIZO& ASSOCIATES).
  2. Form filled out with all the data from the vessel.
  3. IMO number.
  4. DOC/SMC/ISSC/CSR certificates from the previous register of the vessel.
  5. Letter stating the goods to be transported.
  6. Class certificate of the vessel.
  7. Radio License.
  8. The costs of the registry are calculated based on the weight and class of the vessel.

48 HRS.

 

DURATION

 

The provisional registry record is for six months; and for the radio license is for three months renewable.

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR OBTAINING THE PERMANENT REGISTRY

  1. Power of attorney from CARRIZO & ASOCIADOS, duly authenticated by the Panamanian Consulate in the place of issuance or Apostils.
  2. Contract for Sale and Acceptance of Purchase notarized by the Panamanian Consulate or apostils.
  3. Acceptance of the purchase certified by the Consulate of Panama in place of issuance or Apostils.
  4. Cancellation of certificate of the previous registry duly authenticated by the Panamanian Consulate or apostils.
  5. 20 years Inspection Reports (only for vessels more than 20 years old).
  6. DOC&SMC/ISSC7ITC-69 Full term certificates issued by a Classified Society/we provide assistance.
  7. CSR certificate/ we provide assistance.
